Kim, I'm SO glad you posted this!! I needed to see that picture of the filing cabinet again! ha ha!! I'm thinking that this might be a great transition activity when the kiddos start getting "restless" from rest time! Do you still have your sort sheet that you can post/e-mail me? (the recording sheet)?
Kathleen, I will post it once I find where I saved it! It doesn't match her new book so you will probably need to remake it. I kind of combined the older Word Journeys book with her Word Sorts and More as I already had to sorts in the Word Journeys book made. So, my recording sheet has strange numbering. But, it might help to see a sample.
Love the idea of the Picture Sorts!! I would love to know more about your Journals and Word Rings!! I have started using your ABC book for my babies who need to learn the names of the letters so we have added that into our morning routine as well. Right after they unpack, they retrieve their book from their book box and "read" it to either me or my para! I would be curious to know when you squeeze it in! :) thank you for everything you do!! :)
Word sorts would be a perfect idea to use as a morning activity. What a great differentiation activity for students. I would love to see a sample, too to help with the record keeping! BusyBees
I know you are focusing on your morning. I would like to see how you structure your morning meeting and/or calendar time, if possible. Thanks for your posts. Love them!
Ashley, I have those almost ready to post. I tried to chunk it into a few posts so it wouldn't be so long and overwhelming. Like I told Amy, I feel like I am playing catchup! Trying to get everyting up at one time is putting me on overload! :)
