### Take a Survey! Graphing Fun!

There are 4 easy steps that will have your kids a master at taking surveys! Read this post to see those 4 simple steps.
First, the kids walk around and ask the other children the question.
Next, As the kids respond to the question, the surveyor  add tally marks to show their choice.
Then, the kids use the tally marks to color in the picture graph.
Last, the children write the analysis of the data they collected.
Our kids do these every week as one of their math centers. We wanted to see if the kids could formulate their own questions and set up their own survey. We gave them this form. They did it! They wrote their own questions, did the survey, made the graph and did the analysis.
When doing surveys, we give our kids a list of the names of the friends in our room. This makes it easy for them to keep up with who and how many friends they have asked.
If you are looking for some survey graphs, you can find them here.
