I LOVE the yes/no stick. Do you have a copy of that on your blog? I think that would help my kids from blurting out!

I have spent the last two days going through each post since you created this blog, and you ladies are AMAZING!!!! Your entire tpt store is on my wish list. :) One thing I want to have clarified- you do NOT have table spots for the kiddos at all? Do they do their writing on the floor then, use clipboards, or do you have them go to other tables that are spread out in the classroom? My classroom is very small, so I am incredibly interested on how you manage this. (I just want to make sure I understand it before I get ahead of myself and try to implement it.) Thank you so, so much! I am inspired!!!!! :)
Megan, My kiddos do not have a table spot. I do have 3 tables that we use, but the kids aren't assigned a seat. The tables are used for center activities that can't be done on the floor. Some kids write at the tables but some kids use lapboards or clipboards to write on. They love to work on the floor the best! I made my lapboards from "shower board" that I got at Home Depot.
Love the bag idea! Keeps disruption to a minimum since they have everything they need on hand! No wasted time!!
Here is a super quick question (okay, more than one...): did you alter your carpet bags at all? I used them last year and they were such a mess at the end of the year. Do you buy new bags each year (dollar store or not, that could feel spendy)? And lastly, how do you write student names on the bags? Any magic tricks you would like to share? I loved using the bags - they were like portable desks! Very handy indeed.

Nancy---I usually buy about 40 bags at one time. Then, each year I can throw out the few that are destroyed. This way they all match. I usually either zip tie their name to the handle or tape it one the front with clear packing tape depending on what material the bag is made from.
