Postcard Exchange

We are so excited to be a part of Primary Graffiti's Annual Postcard Exchange this year! This is an excellent opportunity for both my students and me! Thanks Cheryl for coordinating this learning opportunity! It will be fun for my kiddos to see the world beyond our little town.

Our school system follows the Writer's Workshop model. This exchange is going to provide good discussion for letter writing and it purpose.

Click on over to Cheryl's blog and see if there is still a slot for your state! I would love for my kids to meet some of the excellent teachers in other states and their students!

Megan said...: Kim- I am so excited because I convinced my principal to purchase Lucy Calkin's Units of Study for Writers Workshop program this year! I am also participating in the postcard exchange (OHIO!) and I would love to see you share your ideas for how to incorporate the writers workshop with the postcard exchange at the kindergarten level!

Kim is a retired kindergarten teacher! She taught kindergarten for 30 years and now works as a national presenter. Now that she is retired, she spends her time volunteering in Meagn's room. When she isn't working at Megan's school, she loves to garden and spend time with her family. She and Andy, her husband, have two children, Megan, who is married to Nick, and Tyler, who is married to Ginny. That also have a beagle named Katie Ann. Megan followed in her mom's footsteps and is also a kindergarten teacher. She loves building relationsips with her kiddos and their families. When she isn't teaching, she enjoys spending time with her family. She is married to Nick. They enjoy all the GA sports teams! She and Nick have a miniature dachshund named Lily Grace.
