Thanks for sharing, I will have to pick up that book. It is amazing what our K kids are expected to learn. My daughter is a teacher too! She did a very fun end of the year celebration. Parents came and the kids wrote persuasive speeches about why they should go to fourth grade(she teaches 3rd). I posted about it on my blog. Tonia Mrsvento.blogspot Sure wish I was going to Vegas!
I'm so excited for this book! I did a post about I wanna Iguanna a couple months ago: http://snippetsbysarah.blogspot.com/2012/04/persuasive-letters-with-rubric-freebie.html It was about persuasive writing too. I LOVE that book. I'm so glad there's another one! Thanks so much for all your inspirational posts. Sarah Sarah's First Grade Snippets

When she isn't working at Megan's school, she loves to garden and spend time with her family. She and Andy, her husband, have two children, Megan, who is married to Nick, and Tyler, who is married to Ginny. That also have a beagle named Katie Ann. Megan followed in her mom's footsteps and is also a kindergarten teacher. She loves building relationsips with her kiddos and their families. When she isn't teaching, she enjoys spending time with her family. She is married to Nick. They enjoy all the GA sports teams! She and Nick have a miniature dachshund named Lily Grace.
